Frantisek Ptacek → František Ptáček – Rename to include diacritics, to reflect the standard practice across most biographies. The name is used by the subject of this article. The name is used by most non-English sources, therefore Wikipedia:DIACRITIC#No established usage should apply here. Also please note, that the vast majority of articles in the "Czech ice hockey players" category have diacritics in article titles. Examples of the name use:

• Profile at the official website of HC Sparta Praha
• Article at the Czech Radio
• Article in the Opavský deník newspaper
• Profile at HokejPortal.cz

• Support The Diacritical policy of Wikipedia would seem to allow for the more proper transition into a correct article name. All I would say is perhaps leave or later recreate this page itself as a redirect to the proper page with diacritics like so many other biographical articles where the person is named properly though people searching for them may not have diacritical-friendly keyboards. Use of diacritics in article's title

This is the English Wikipedia, and according to the policy of WP:COMMONNAME, this article does not use the subject's name as it might be spelled in Czech (with diacritic) as its article title; it instead uses the name that is most frequently used to refer to the subject in English-language reliable sources. Dolovis, we have reached a consensus. Until you get consensus for the contrary, the article title remains spelled correctly. Why do you abhor diacritics so much? If you read WP:COMMONNAME, you'll see it's intended to resolve "disputes" between a common name and a technical name, a person's full name and a short form of the person's name used more commonly, or an English name and a foreign language name. This is none of these, there is no "English" form of this Czech name, it is just a matter of whether the person typing the guy's name has diacritics on their keyboard or not! What does removing the diacritics accomplish exactly? Especially if you insist on leaving them out in the article text as well, which means the reader is more likely get the wrong idea of how to pronounce it for a start... - filelakeshoe 00:45, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

Dolovis, you have been told this many times before, still I hope you will get it right. I should also notify you, that your constant emphasis on keeping "your" articles without diacritics grossly violates WP:OWN.
