What public differences?
[edit]I suggest that this paragraph:
In 2004, metropolitan three Perth sea rescue groups, Fremantle being one, had public differences over insurance cover with government authorities. The issue continued further to 2012.
adds no value unless it tells us what the differences are. Mitch Ames (talk) 14:21, 1 March 2019 (UTC)
- please either take the effort to read the background - google or take a few seconds to research, and what do you find?
https://searescue.com.au/news/tag/dfes/ - or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitfords_Volunteer_Sea_Rescue_Group or - perhaps https://www.vmrwa.org.au/our-history - and so on it is possible to clarify with very adjacent items... that are not hard to find, it just takes a bit of work - JarrahTree 14:39, 1 March 2019 (UTC)
- would better fit in a state level article rather than the individual group Gnangarra 14:47, 1 March 2019 (UTC)
- for the moment I wouldnt worry to much about word sleuthing or such details as there 39 sea rescue groups, a state level body at DFES and long history of sea rescues around WA that need to brought together, up until a couple hours ago we had zero coverage. I'm currently working through trove/SLWA next step will reading newspapers in slwa to get the details that arent online. Nationally besides AMSA there isnt thing else I can find either. Better to spend time on resourcing & research articles than worry over minor issues. Gnangarra 14:52, 1 March 2019 (UTC)
- bah - read https://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-08-08/volunteer-sea-rescue-groups-stopped-from-operating/4184854 JarrahTree 15:07, 1 March 2019 (UTC)
google or take a few seconds to research...
My point is that the reader shouldn't have to "google" or "research" to get the basic facts; an encyclopedia should tell them the basic facts. The reader might check the sources to verify the facts, or get more detailed information, but they should not need to look anywhere else to learn something meaningful. The fact there were differences of an unspecified nature is not very meaningful. Mitch Ames (talk) 06:50, 2 March 2019 (UTC)
