Plot summary increased beyond allowable wordage
[edit]@LMilagros5472: On 31 October 2021, you increased the length of the plot summary from 639 words to 970. When you opened the editing screen, the hidden notice regarding plot length ("WP:FILMPLOT") became visible, to make editors aware of the wordage limitation. The creation and editing of Wikipedia articles must follow the Manual of Style for articles. In the case of film articles, the manual is MOS:FILM (Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Film). For the Plot section it states:
The structure of this film is not "unconventional".
You increased the Plot by + 331 words. If you do not edit the plot down to 700 words (or less), it will be done by another editor. You can check the total wordage of a plot summary by using the Word Counter tool. Pyxis Solitary (yak). L not Q. 10:51, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
Update:
I restored the plot to its status on 08:36, 31 October 2021 -- before the summary was increased way past the wordage allowed by WP:FILMPLOT.
This explanation for not abiding by the Manual of Style is not an acceptable reason for not complying with the same standards all editors are expected to follow: "I DO NOT OWN A COMPUTER. I do all "net work" on a smart phone with a 3 " screen. I have no access to any "character counts" feature - if there is one for Wiki. Cell phones have limited "admin features" for sites such as Facebook, Gmail, etc.}".
Regardless of our own personal obstacles (whatever they may be), editors comply with Wikipedia policies and guidelines -- not the other way around. Pyxis Solitary (yak). L not Q. 03:51, 21 November 2021 (UTC)
- So, you expect me to manually count every word?Ridiculous. You are one of those dreaded Wiki Nazi bots. LMilagros5472 (talk) 12:54, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
- 1) It boils down to this: you find a way to use a desktop, laptop, or pad to edit the plot section ... or you refrain from making edits that cannot comply with WP:FILMPLOT. If you find a way to use a desktop, laptop, or pad to edit the plot section, then you will be able to use https://wordcounttools.com/.
2) Do not make personal attacks against any editor. You may be unwilling to familiarize yourself with Wikipedia policies and you may choose to ignore them, but WP:NPA is enforceable. Pyxis Solitary (yak). L not Q. 14:01, 27 November 2021 (UTC)

Is Fried Green Tomatoes a Riposte to Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
[edit]This is a contraversial theory that Fried Green Tomatoes is a Riposte to Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes.
1) Attack of the Killer Tomatoes is a satire on a 70s California Love Jihad fad (probably based in the music industry). The Tomatoes are women who are ruining men or their lovers. 2) Fried Green Tomatoes is a feminist riposte to Attack movie justifying why Love Jihad is necessary and good, because Frank, the father, is so bad. 3) Fried Green Tomatoes author, Fanny Flag, is an out lesbian who is a friend of Rita Mae Brown, the well known lesbian writer. It's possible that Brown is a ghost writer or has had input into this book/movie and that this movie is thus a statement from the American Lesbian Community.
