[edit]Looking at the descendants of Maria II of Portugal, he would have been next in line to Portuguese throne (if it still existed) after the death of Manuel II. Wondering if that subject was ever brought up and what's on record for it Cladeal832 (talk) 14:30, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- @Cladeal832: Now the Wikipedia article on Portuguese succession states that the Saxonians just never claimed Portugal (mentions their not being Portuguese citizens). Added a bit on it here. --Yomal Sidoroff-Biarmskii (talk) 15:35, 31 December 2019 (UTC)
Sources?
[edit]I was going over this and checking out the sources for one of the footnotes. The second footnote only states "Le Petit Gotha" as the source. Does anyone know anything about this source? I've checked around and it seems to be a book, but cannot find where the claim is in the book.

permutation of names
[edit]The lede and the infobox disagree about the sequence of his names: Albert Leopold Friedrich Christian Sylvester Anno Macarius vs Friedrich Christian Albert Leopold Anno Sylvester Macarius. —Tamfang (talk) 02:56, 17 December 2022 (UTC)
