Work in Progress

[edit]

I am in the process of creating this article. Ergo Sum 03:15, 13 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Finished, insofar as I can make no more contributions at the moment. Ergo Sum 20:28, 18 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

NRHP or not NRHP

[edit]

I am unsure as to whether Gaston Hall is co-listed or is considered part of Healy Hall for the purposes of the National Register of Historic Places. If it is, the WikiProject NRHP template should be added to this talk page and the NRHP template should be added to the bottom of the article. Mention in the article itself would also be appropriate. Does anyone have information on this? Ergo Sum 03:51, 13 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

[edit]

The topic of this article, an auditorium within a larger campus building, seems pushing the boundaries of notability. Most or all of the sourcing is tangential mentions of the auditorium, or consists of non-independent sources such as the student and alumni newspapers. Now, it is likely that sending this to AFD may result in its retention, but that will not change the fact that this article looks, to put it frankly, like scrapings from the bottom of the Georgetown University barrel. I also strongly suggest that any attempt to promote this article to Good Article status be opposed. Abductive (reasoning) 19:24, 19 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As the creator of this article, I agree with you. While I initially thought it was sufficiently notable on its own several years ago, upon reflection, I think that it would be more appropriate to merge the couple of paragraphs describing the auditorium into the Healy Hall article. I will start that process today. Ergo Sum 20:37, 19 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
