Where is the evidence for his birth and death date? All the sources seem to say 1884, although it wouldn't be the first time this kind of thing had been quoted wrongly somewhere and then became 'true' for other sources. I have checked the census records, there was no 'George Williamson Wilson' registered as such in Scotland between 1880 and 1885. There were 5 George Wilsons born in Fife between 1882 and 1884, you have to pay to see the certificate and I'm not at that stage yet. On checking the edit logs here, it seems an IP with no other activity - therefore quite possibly a family member with special interest and knowledge - made the alteration 5 years ago, amending the dates but with no source, nevertheless the title was obligingly changed to 'born 1882'. Any clues on this user:Jmorrison230582 (for it was thee)? Can't see anything but maybe there was a talk page chat elsewhere or something at the time? Cheers.
