Fair use rationale for Image:Getthepartystartedcover.jpg

[edit]

Image:Getthepartystartedcover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:52, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wording

[edit]

"second biggest solo hit in the U.S. alongside "Most Girls" (2000) and "So What" (2008)."

What the f$#c$ does "alongside" (one of the most overused and misused words on Wikpedia) mean hear? The song is supposedly the second biggest hit, and two other songs are mentioned. This kind of poorly-worded fan idolatry doesn't belong here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.68.134.1 (talk) 17:24, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Considering that you seemed so bothered by this I'm surprised that you didn't see what it meant. In any case the sentence has now been changed, and also before complaining about people who edit this site and passing judgment you should try and work out how to actually use this site. For instance how to create a heading....DrMotley (talk) 18:11, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Eliminating songs from commercials

[edit]

Thanks to the ongoing retail apocalypse phenomenon, as well as websites such as Commercials I Hate and Am I Right, we should eliminate songs used in TV commercials. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CodyFinke2020 (talkcontribs) 10:06, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your explanation does not make sense. How do the so-called "retail apocalypse" and the existence of these websites impact what Wikipedia includes? Please discuss the issue on your user talk page. - SummerPhDv2.0 22:31, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
