[edit]While this person does seem to be mentioned in a number of works ([1]), the article must be rewritten to conform with Wikipedia standards, as it both fails to follow norms of text on Wikipedia and was authored by Babini himself. Moreover, I am concerned that the sources available may not provide enough significant coverage of him to warrant an article, and hence I approve of the proposed deletion. - He seems notable to me- he was heavily involved in quite a few notable ceramic-related societies, committees and the like. However, we're probably going to find problems getting references to demonstrate that he was notable, because of the fact that he's from another country and that ceramics is hardly the most high-profile of subjects. Nevertheless, I oppose the deletion, and instead propose that we simply try to find sources and improve the article. I'll have a go at rewriting it a bit more in a second. -Branabus 18:06, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
- You've made a decent start there. I have to say, though, that the obituary reference reads to me like a tribute to an esteemed work colleague rather than indicating notability. AllyD (talk) 18:15, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
On the basis of this, which looks to give an accurate account of his academic background, he's certainly notable (along with the Google Scholar search mentioned above). Could someone with more experience than me confirm this, so that the notability tag can be removed?
Other than that, I've had trouble finding obvious references to things that he's done, but the references do demonstrate that he has done what the article says he has. In other words, the references are good, but the relevant information's generally halfway down the page. Any advice on that? It's the reason why I left the refimprove tag up.
Oh, and I've removed most of the other tags because I feel that the article is now up to scratch in those regards. I may be wrong, though. -Branabus 19:40, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
Thank you very much for your help. I'll find more reference about Babini Gian Nicola work experience. Some of them are not so easy to be find because he worked really a lot before the digitalization time in Italy and abroad. This is also my fist experience in wiki world and I'm trying to understood how does it work, please be patient! Thank you again Gian Marco Babini 10:11, 25 March 2012 (CET)
