Article name
[edit]The normal French spelling for his name is Godefroid, so we could add a "d"? On the other hand, this is a person living in a multilingual region, and documents about him are all in Latin. His name is a common Frankish name and scholars writing in English typically convert these to forms most easily recognized in English. So we could call him Godfried. I suppose a third option is a modernized Godfrey, which often happens with the more well-known Godfried of Bouillon. To me, Godfried seems best?--Andrew Lancaster (talk) 22:42, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
