Rubens' Painting?
[edit]why is there a painting by Rubens in this article. At first glance it makes it seem as though this painting can be found at the monastery. Arthurian Legend (talk) 12:04, 18 May 2009 (UTC) This certainly should be removed 147.188.228.136 (talk) 15:51, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
- Yep, please removeEugene-elgato (talk) 15:52, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
- I got rid of it. It is not connected with the article in any way, not least because such a painting would very very rarely, if ever, have a place in a Greek Orthodox, or indeed any Eastern, monastery. Eugene-elgato (talk) 09:33, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
- OK, seriously: anybody that wants Ruben's painting, has the burden to show it is a good idea; in the absence of that it is presumed that given Ruben's has nothing to do either with this monastery or the Orthodox world in general, it has no relevance for the article, and can even be misleading. At least use an Orthodox icon of the relevant religious scene, if an image of an ikon from that monastery is not available. Eugene-elgato (talk) 11:35, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
