[edit]The entry as it is is markedly polemic ("diminutive bureaucrat") and decidedly biased. Jagow opposed the Schlieffen plan with its breach of Belgian neutrality, but had to yield to Moltke. Jagow was dismissed in November 1916 mainly because he had opposed unconditional U-boat warfare. Whoever compiled this entry, the given sources should be re-read; they are misrepresented.
