"This public school is regarded as the best in Bangladesh" do you have any sources to cite for this, or is it just POV? Also can you sign your posts with four tildes! Thanks! LookingYourBest 07:41, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I strongly suggest removing the artistic album section. It does not add much to the article. Not sure why applying some filters should be considered art either.

I suggest that Shopon Kumar Goshwami section is removed. This is not relevant. 76.10.171.148 (talk) 10:44, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks.

Fair use rationale for Image:School-monogram.jpg

[edit]

Image:School-monogram.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Complete Re-Write

[edit]

This article has been annoying me for such a long time! I've just had a go at re-writing the majority of it, which has included removing some of the unsourced stuff! Can someone cast an eye over it and change any obvious mistakes? I expect somewill will have a go at reverting all my hard work! Ha ha! --LookingYourBest (talk) 18:13, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

About editing the article

[edit]

The most of the portions have been written by me. Now I've noticed that for somedays some deletion and re-writing works are being done. Can I have any explanation of that?

Especially why you are rewriting the same things over and over? Why the lists are being deleted?

Source seems to be an important thing. That's fine. The heading 'information source' has been included at the end. There is little informatons in internet about the school just like any other school of Bangladesh. So I can't give any link. But where's the problem with providing information? Is it a crime? I added information from hard copies like school documents and magazines. If I can't add this, I think the motto of Wikipedia will be violated. The theme of Wikipedia is to provide people with true information and I'm trying to do this.

I agree with your opinion over Swapon Kumar Goswami and artistic album. So they are removed.

Hope to have a logical approach next time. talk —Preceding undated comment was added at 10:07, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I'll try and explain as best I can why I've been reverting your edits, why tags have been added to certain portions of the article and mainly why I've re-written the majority of the article.
Firstly, I've reverted past edits as you have made no attempt to add anything to the article, all you have done is remove tags that are placed on the article or reverted to your past edits.
Secondly, tags have been added to certain portions because they didn't have any sources cited, or were written in the style of a an advert for the school. When you finally sourced these 'facts' it turns out that you were citing the school's magazine, which is hardly a neutral publication. If you're going to say that it's "Regarded as the best in Bangladesh" you need a proper, verifiable source to PROVE it!
Thirdly, I re-wrote the article as it read like an advert and wasn't very encylopedic. Most of it didn't make a lot of sense and was gramatically incorrect. I feel the re-write addressed both these issues.
I hope this goes some way to explaining why what has happened, happened!?

Again editing is done without specific explanation. I think now the article contains no advertising type words or phrases. The informations included here, can be collected from the school magazine. I'll request you to show a bit more logical approach. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jyoti buet (talkcontribs) 12:46, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Logical approach? Right, let's see how best to explain this in a more simple way in comparison to the way I've said it above ...
If I made a wikipedia page about myself and said I was awesome and that I was "Regarded as the best person in England" I would have to back that up with a source ... a NEUTRAL source ... what I couldn't do is write that and then say "Well, a magazine written about me by my fans says I am, so it must be true!"
Is that any clearer for you?
Also, I gave a specific explanation of my revert in the edit summary.

I admit that "Regarded as the best school in Bangladesh" was there. But it was removed long ago. The article is now edited and I don't think any laudatory word no more exist there. Now the article contains referred informations which are solely statistical data. I think 'school magazine' can be regarded as a reliable source for those DATA. I will suggest you to go through this article and let me know if there exist any unreferenced commendatory words. (talk) 20:17, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Again the article has been edited without showing the cause despite the request! Jyoti_buet (talk) 21:13, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Public or Goverment?

[edit]

Is this school is really public, or is it government? Tanvir 11:47, 19 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In Bangladesh all the Government School is public school. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.27.30.175 (talk) 03:47, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yearly results review

[edit]

I just removed the yearly result view (i.e. list of students who was in the merit list in past years). That are not encyclopedic. So, please do not include them again. Tanvir 15:58, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
