Gresford Disaster

[edit]

Should details about the Gresford Disaster be removed to a separate article? --maelor 14:10, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would think so. 172.143.29.175 10:21, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've split them into two. What do you think? --maelor 19:34, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It works a lot better. The Gresford article focused on the disaster too much. It really needed it's own article, especially for such a notable disaster. Born Acorn 04:53, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. -- Maelor  12:49, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gresford Colliery

[edit]

The section on Gresford Colliery seems a bit disjointed and might benefit from some editing. --jmb 15:35, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Origins of the name of Gresford

[edit]

My grandfather, the late Thomas Alwyn Evans, was convinced that the ford was named after a local Chieftain, possibly 'Gresa' or similar. I doubt if the ford itself could be referred to as 'grassy', although 'grazing' may be a more accurate word. --Astro nomenoff (talk) 18:58, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
