Badges representing their patriotism

[edit]

Is this correct? If they are Nigerian patriots, perhaps the article should say so. Rumiton (talk) 14:22, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Frankly, I'm not sure how to interpret the source beyond what I've written. The source says:
  • Nonetheless, hero worship which characterises such human efforts may have found its way into the place [the camp of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, an unrelated group]. Conspicuously written on one of the buildings is an inscription in white colour that reads: "The God of Enoch Adejare Adeboye is alive". Such is the infectious aura of this man of God that rules over the city. In this part of the world, such extreme reactions from overzealous followers are all part of modern age religious movements. For example, members of One Love Family along the same location are known to wear badges and other paraphernalia of Sat Guru Maharaji Ji, their leader and spiritual head as a symbol of patriotism. This practice is also becoming famous among other religious groups.
That may mean the badges are pictures or emblems of Maharaj Ji, but I'm not sure.   Will Beback  talk  18:22, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. Maybe another source will show up that makes it clearer. Rumiton (talk) 02:29, 23 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Essay" tag

[edit]

An editor added an template:essay-like tag,[1] which says:

  • This article is written like a personal reflection or essay rather than an encyclopedic description of the subject. Please help improve it by rewriting it in an encyclopedic style.

I don't see anything in it that looks like a personal reflection or essay. None of it is opinion - every line is a cited fact. I'm guessing that the tag may have been applied inadvertently. If there's no explanation I'll remove it.   Will Beback  talk  19:36, 23 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree and just removed it. Rumiton (talk) 01:35, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation Proposal

[edit]

It has been suggested, as there were multiple pages leading to disparate "Maharaj Ji" entities, that a disambig page be created, which was done (3 other alternate spellings were changed to redirects, and their contents added). It has further been suggested on the Prem Rawat talk page that we also include the two possible "Guru Maharj Ji"'s on that page, thereby removing a small hatnote at the top of the Prem Rawat article (currently, searching in WP for "Guru Maharj Ji" takes you directly to Prem Rawat). I'm not expecting anyone to read this soon (based on the article activity), but just in case, does anyone here object to that? -- Maelefique(talk) 15:05, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
