Since there were a number of links pointing to two different subjects: the original Indian gymkhana and the equestrian version, which was a bit confusing and difficult to clear up as it was. So I have separated the two. Unfortunately, I do not know enough about India to write this article. I have taken the original heading from the equestrian article and the equally brief mention from the Gym article and placed them here. There is a lot of redundancy between the two, but I will let someone more knowledgeable clean that up. PerlKnitter 20:34, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- I think you have done a good thing, the topics are so different. There is or was a lot of stuff on Indian gymkhanas in the gym article that you may want to add in. I'll do a little cleanup on the equestrian version. Montanabw 21:31, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your comments and your help. On the disambiguation page, I did repoint the link for the equestrian activity so that it points to Gymkhana (Equestrian) rather than the base article.

The secong part of the word GYMKHANA i.e. khana actually is drived from Urdu with origin in Farsi and Arabic e.g. Chaikhana or Kahwakhana and even Khana-e-Kaaba (Mecca) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 160.9.41.58 (talk) 13:58, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
Etymology
[edit]Apologies for not using terms correctly, I'm not an editor. However, the main section of the article and the etomology part are contradicting each other for the terms origin. 84.236.39.235 (talk) 15:04, 26 May 2022 (UTC)
