Disdainful

[edit]

Could the mysterious 'Disdainful' have been the frigate HMS Dédaigneuse? Mhardcastle (talk) 09:04, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Probably not. In early 1810 Dedaigneuse appears to have been in the East Indies. According to Winfield she did come back later in the year, but that would be too late for the story.Acad Ronin (talk) 12:28, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I replaced the dead link with a link to a live, and better source. Acad Ronin (talk) 12:43, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Video of it's fate

[edit]

There's a video of the fate of the ship: https://twitter.com/Trois_Ponts/status/1737419227731026073

I just don't really know how to upload it to the article. Julien (talk) 13:42, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
