Taxon?

[edit]

What's the taxon on this species? I could not find anything unanimous. --Sarefo 02:19, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm

[edit]

Article says, "Thankfully, the northern funnel-web as well as the Sydney funnel-web only can be found in Australia." I suppose this is NPOV. I can't relate to "thankfully", though, because I live in Sydney! For a mammothly arachnaphobic dude like me, "aggressive, fast and deadly", mean my irrational fear is augmented by a credible threat.

Actually, I was relieved by the word "thankfully", because it showed someone else understood my fear. There's more than five million of us sharing space with these dark little darlings, I guess we're winning atm. Also, the spiders here are nothing compared to the snakes, or the crocodiles, and we have sharks too.

Normally none of these creatures are hard to deal with, it just gets a little tricky when there's more than one and you're half asleep.

Oh well, got to get back to work at the Australian Tourism Commission. Alastair Haines 08:53, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My immediate reaction to the article was the same objection to "thankfully". I've changed it now. --Irrevenant [ talk ] 02:59, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
