His official name[edit]

Hi all, always thought that Hamad Al Thani full and official name was Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani. But his wiki article title is called article is actually called Hamad ibn Jaber Al Thani. I've never seen the bin spelled ibn. Also i believe that bin is never capitalized. So anyways, does anyone oppose me from moving the page to Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani. The bin/ibn and the capitalisation are optional. It depends on whether Wikipedia chooses to use the official name that each individual uses or some general rule.
I would like to see a link to "Hamad ibn Jaber". I don't think it's correct to omit father's name and use "bin/ibn" in front of grandfather's name, if the person doesn't do so himself. СЛУЖБА (talk) 06:30, 13 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

how Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani is related to Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani? Matthew_hk tc 10:05, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Khalifa bin Hamad is a direct great-grandson of an elder son of Mohammed bin Thani. Jassim bin Jaber is a son of a younger son of Mohammed bin Thani. This is only concerning patrilineage. About women I'm unaware. СЛУЖБА (talk) 07:07, 13 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Peacemaker[edit]

Why is the title of the section so large and called "Peacemaker"? He recently called for a military engagement in Syria. No matter the reasons, this would be totally unfit to any "Peacemaker" heading. Can't the article be reworded more objectively rather than be such a blind praise of him? 62.47.246.59 (talk) 17:38, 13 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I agree, it does not seem to me to be a neutral section heading. AndrewRT(Talk) 19:33, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced material[edit]

Why this article includes so much unsourced material and there is no indication of this fact on the page? There are many articles with sourced material, but this remark is put on them. Egeymi (talk) 13:14, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure it's any more than any average Wikipedia article! Please feel free to add {{cn}} next to any facts that need better sourcing. AndrewRT(Talk) 19:35, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

8th Emir?[edit]

What's this unnecessary reference to the 8th Emir? Just use his name, the current emir's grandfather (and the previous emir's father), Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad al-Thani (khalifa bin hamad al-thani: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khalifa_bin_Hamad_Al_Thani).

Keep in mind, the al of the last name is not the regular definite article in Arabic, but aal, though written w a single a in English, (meaning 'of the house of').

al: ال, aal: آل

Jarred Kushner[edit]

One would think by doing research on Wikipedia that they have no relationship. Perhaps, a remedial paragraph entry would be due.
