[edit]I will try to apdat the eng-version to the much more elaborated and referenced German version step by step and see what can be done to join the deviating infos --Bernd Michael Uhl 06:56, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks Bernd. I'll keep an eye on this page and see if I can help out with the English grammar. FiggyBee 07:59, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Ok. That's fine by me. Look at the German version, there is much more content. I will try to bring both of them together. At the moment, it seems to me that also the tenoer of the articles is different. --Bernd Michael Uhl 10:31, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
This is not mentioned in the German version: "Münch's last act before the camp was abandoned was allegedly to provide one inmate, Dr Louis Micheels, with a revolver to assist his escape." And the English version indicates no source --Bernd Michael Uhl 11:08, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- Ya, I've been going through and converting all the current "references" to proper in-text references; the source for that statement is the Candles Holocaust Museum bio. Micheels himself has a published memoir [1]. FiggyBee 12:36, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
Yes, that's good if you are ironing out my English expression and grammar as English is not my first language. Thanx. The English and the German version do differ in the date for the film The last days what somehow seems to be connected to the different release dates. --Bernd Michael Uhl 12:24, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
- what exactly is meant to be confusing in the section "Engagement in Shoa-Documentary (1999)". please, explain it to me. perhaps I then can also rework the German source text --Bernd Michael Uhl 19:18, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
English Grammar
[edit]The English grammar of non-quote sections has some errors that I've been cleaning up, but there are also grammatical errors in several of the quotes (which I assume were translated in to English, mostly from German language interviews). I don't know if those errors were made in the quote, or if the errors were made during either translation or transcription, because there are not [sic] indicators within the quotes. I am tempted to fix them but I won't unless someone tells me if the grammatical error was made by the person making the quote (in which case I will just ad [sic] where appropriate) or if the error was made by the person who either translated to quote to English (in which case I will still use [sic] if the translated quote was sourced from some text where it is printed with the error in place), or by the person who simply transcribed the English translated quote from somewhere else to this Wikipedia page, in which case I will actually fix the grammar.
As for the grammar in the article itself, quoted text not withstanding, I will fix that as I see it. Srajan01 06:06, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, I've not been paying much attention to this article lately as I'm studying for an exam. My impression is that Bernd is translating directly from the German version of the article, including the quotes. Thus the translation is original to wikipedia and should be fixed for grammar where possible. FiggyBee 20:57, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
Hello, I would like to suggest an edit. While viewing this page from the iOS official Wikipedia app, the title reads, "Hans Münch German physicist." I believe it should rather read, "Hans Münch German physician," but I do not know how to make this edit. Thanks for your help and understanding. Snell.ra 19:37, 26 September 2017 (UTC)
Doctors exempt from military service?
[edit]What does "he replaced country doctors in their practices in the Bavarian countryside as they had been inducted into the army; Münch's attempt to enlist in the Wehrmacht was rejected as his work as a doctor was considered too important" mean? How could other doctors be called up, but not him because he was too important as a doctor?Royalcourtier (talk) 05:33, 18 October 2014 (UTC)
1998 charges
[edit]What was Munch charged with in 1998? His quoted comments look pretty innoculous, and hardly criminal. I didn't think that opinion was a crime, even in Nazi Germany.Royalcourtier (talk) 05:35, 18 October 2014 (UTC)

Infobox
[edit]Should "Infobox criminal" be used instead? Much of the article is about the investigations into the subject's criminal activities, trials and convictions. Infobox "Military person" does not really apply as the subject was not "soldiering". Feedback? K.e.coffman (talk) 03:48, 2 April 2017 (UTC)

Dr Hans Münch
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
2 Dates of death are given: 27 January 2001, and 6 December 2001. Which one is correct? 49.179.37.16 (talk) 04:30, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
- COI edit requests are for proposals to change the information in the article, not for requests to verify information when no sources are provided. Please provide a source which contradicts this listed information in order for it to be changed. Regards, Spintendo 22:00, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- Came here to note that this article variously lists Munch as having died at age 89 and age 90. Sorry, I don't have the expertise to reliably identify a source to authoritatively resolve the discrepancy. Microfamous (talk) 21:41, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
