The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography (ODNB), in a Sept. 2004 entry, lists Denne as having lived "1605/6?–1666", which contradicts the assertion of 1660 made when the article stub was created. ( http://www.oxforddnb.com/index/101007497/Henry-Denne , subscription required ). I don't have full access to the ODNB, but Oxford Biography Index Number 101007497, which is based on the ODNB, describes Denne as a "Baptist" rather than a "puritan", and that categorization appears to be supported by other sources as well. The apparent errors in the stub derive from exclusive reliance on the 1889 edition of the ODNB. I don't have time or interest to follow this up myself, but if anyone else does, http://churches-of-christ.ws/denne.htm may be of assistance. I doubt this qualifies as a reliable source, but it may point a researcher/editor in the right direction, at least. – OhioStandard (talk)18:02, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
