Namesake of Labouchere (paddle steamer)?[edit]

I know it was a Henry Labouchere, must have been this one, which this Hudson's Bay Company vessel was named after; does anyone here know maybe why? Did Labouchere have a role on the HBC board....or maybe it was just because he was Minister for the Colonies at the time (boat was lanunched 1855-56)?Skookum1 (talk)
