Fair use rationale for Image:Hill-Rom Logo.png
[edit]Image:Hill-Rom Logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page
[edit]Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Some proposed changes
[edit]Hello, I have located sources to support content currently on page.
Here is a source for info box content: https://fortune.com/fortune500/2019/hill-rom-holdings
Here is a source for the sentence detailing the company as a former subsidiary of Hillenbrand Industries: https://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-hillrom-acquisition-0618-biz-20150617-story.html
Here is a source for the information on manufacturing facilities: https://www.cincinnati.com/story/money/2015/06/17/hill-rom-makes-acquisition-moving-chicago/28862911/
Appreciate your help. Jack at Hillrom (talk) 22:00, 31 July 2019 (UTC)
- That information could be entered if you followed the instructions for a proper edit request (form your request in the format "replace "x" copy at "A" location with "y" copy, appending the sources, properly formatted, to the copy you want added) , but it does not address the notability issue in any way. See WP:NCORP, WP:42, and WP:GNG for helping identifying sources that show notability. Verification is required, but notability and verification are two separate things. Notability is required for an article to exist, verifiability is required for all facts in an article. John from Idegon (talk) 20:54, 2 August 2019 (UTC)

Request #1[edit]Replace "x" copy: , furniture, other health care equipment, and medical technology systems At "A" location: First sentence With "y" copy: , wound therapy systems, stretchers, respiratory products, and surgical equipment. "Can Hill-Rom Succeed Against Stryker?". fool.com. Retrieved August 2, 2019. Jack at Hillrom (talk) 23:25, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
Thank you for your clarification. Would the following be satisfactory? With "y" copy: , wound therapy systems designed for wound care and patients with advanced wounds [1], respiratory products such as a mobile vest which uses personal oscillating discs to provide targeted kinetic energy and HFCWO to the lungs to thin mucus and generate airflow [2], and surgical equipment including an operating table tied to robotic surgery [3]. Request #2[edit]Replace "x" copy: , and a former subsidiary of Hillenbrand Industries. At "A" location: Second sentence With "y" copy: , and formerly part of Hillenbrand Industries, which split in 2008. "Hill-Rom will officially call Chicago home after merger". chicagotribune.com. Retrieved August 2, 2019. Jack at Hillrom (talk) 23:25, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
Thank you for your helpful suggestion. Is this more clearly stated? With "y" copy: , and formerly part of Hillenbrand Industries, which split the medical equipment division from its casket business in 2008. "Hill-Rom will officially call Chicago home after merger". chicagotribune.com. Retrieved August 2, 2019. Thank you Jack at Hillrom (talk) 03:38, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
Request #3[edit]Replace "x" copy: their primary offices and manufacturing facilities in Acton, MA, Batesville, IN, Cary, NC, Chicago, Illinois, Skaneateles Falls, NY, Montpellier, France, Pluvigner (France), Monterrey, Mexico." At "A" location: third sentence With "y" copy: their headquarters in Chicago, Illinois and U.S. factories in: Acton, Massachusetts; Caledonia, Michigan; Charleston, South Carolina; and Las Piedras, Puerto Rico. OK. Thank you. Would it be acceptable like this? With "y" copy: their headquarters in Chicago, Illinois and factories in the United States, Germany, France, China, Mexico, Singapore, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Thank you Jack at Hillrom (talk) 03:41, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
Request #4[edit]Below are links to multiple reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject. Inclusion in the Fortune 1000: https://fortune.com/fortune500/2019/hill-rom-holdings Significant coverage in Forbes article: https://www.forbes.com/sites/johnnosta/2018/12/09/how-technology-is-saving-lives-by-reinventing-the-hospital-bed/#36c376538988 Significant coverage in Chicago Tribune article detailing relocation of headquarters: https://www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-hillrom-acquisition-0618-biz-20150617-story.html Significant coverage in Wall Street Journal: https://www.wsj.com/articles/hospital-beds-get-digital-upgrade-1544371200 Jack at Hillrom (talk) 23:35, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
The fortune 1000 link can serve as a reference for the information contained in the infobox: industry, CEO, revenue, employees.[1] The Wall Street Journal article can serve as reference to a revision in the first sentence: "hospital beds" to "hospital beds that monitor patients’ heart and respiratory rates" [2] The Chicago Tribune article can serve as reference to the headquarters information in the third sentence: their headquarters in Chicago, Illinois [3]

Following Spintendo's suggestion. The below adds a citation to the comments in request#3 above, but is added as a new section. Appreciate it.
Replace "x" copy: "Their headquarters are in Chicago."
At "A" location: third sentence
With "y" copy: "The company has their headquarters in Chicago, Illinois and U.S. factories in: Acton, Massachusetts; Caledonia, Michigan; Charleston, South Carolina; and Las Piedras, Puerto Rico. It also has plants in Germany, France, China, Mexico, Singapore, Sweden and the United Kingdom."
"Hill-Rom makes $2.1B acquisition, moving to Chicago". cincinnati.com. Retrieved August 2, 2019.

Hill-Rom Holdings
[edit]Would it make sense to make this article not just about Hill-Rom (the subsidiary), but rather about Hill-Rom Holdings (the parent)? Noticed that 2 of the existing references listed are already for Hill-Rom Holdings rather than Hill-Rom. If not, then Hill-Rom Holdings should probably have its own dedicated page, but not sure how much the 2 entities differ legally and operationally. - Indefensible (talk) 06:17, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
Addressing Notability Flag
[edit]Since flag was placed, several WP:N sources have been added to the page. Hillrom meets WP:SIGCOV and WP:GNG. Notability flag should be removed at this point. Alummocha (talk) 14:25, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
History needs updating
[edit]The history sections needs to be updated by someone who has the required info. Current history is dated and not really relevant. :) 2605:8D80:668:85A1:D590:F7C4:5BDC:4B1F (talk) 21:49, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
