World's Dirtiest McDonalds
[edit]Be aware that there are 2 McDonalds outlets on Hindley St. I suspect that the one garnering international attention is the one right down the end on the intersection with West Tce, and NOT the one which features in the photos in this article. 118.210.206.96 (talk) 04:40, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
- Hmmm. Once again, "excellent" work from the Murdoch press! i.e. They give ZERO indication that there are two, much less which one they're talking about.
- 118.210.206.96: Not that I'm disagreeing, but what leads you to think/expect it's the West Terrace store?

McDonald's
[edit]Just noting, following the reversion of previous edits to this effect:
- The fast-food chain is indeed called ‘McDonald's’, with the apostrophe between the ‘d’ and ‘s’. The Australian website consistently gives this name, and that website is owned by McDonald’s Australia Limited, with an apostrophe.
- There's no need for scare-quotes around the word ‘restaurant’. Going by the Princeton WordNet definition of a restaurant as ‘a building where people go to eat’ and Macquarie Dictionary's ‘a shop where meals are served to customers’, McDonald's is a restaurant.

- "a building where people go to eat" is a very poor and ambiguous definition - there are many such buildings that are not restaurants.
- "a shop where meals are served to customers" depends a lot on what "served to customers" means. The corner shop that sells pies could be classed as "a shop where meals are served to customers", but there is no way you would call it a restaurant.

Disambiguation style
[edit]Note: There is a proposal at WT:AURD#Move_articles_to_bracket_disambiguation to rename this article (and others) to conform to the WP:AURDNAME guideline – specifically, using brackets instead of a comma for disambiguation. - Evad37 [talk] 08:51, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
