Jagged 85
I came across problems with one of Jagged 85's sources. (For full details see Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard#The Islamic Contribution to Science, Mathematics and Technology: Towards Motivating the Muslim Child and the Jagged 85 cleanup project that it links to.) Because of the many problems, including misrepresenting sources, undue weight and so forth, that have been ascribed to him I am removing text that was inserted by him into the parent article Herbalism. Of course any part that can be reliably sourced (and is actually relevant to the article) can be replaced. All the best, Rich Farmbrough, 01:50, 10 April 2014 (UTC).
Middle Ages
I added to the section of the middle ages to clarify that much of herbalism was performed by women at least in the Germanic tribes. I also added info on the sources of medicinal knowledge in Europe. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lb805536 (talk • contribs) 03:26, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
Early Modern - Modern Era
I added two centuries of information to the Early Modern Era in order to expand on the previous information given. On top of that, I organized the section by having subheadings of centuries in order to better separate the knowledge for easy reading. I also added more information to the modern era for the 20th and 21st centuries to cover more of Europe and China. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lb805536 (talk • contribs) 23:16, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
Section Prehistory
In trying to verify sources on History of herbalism#Prehistory, I found that the claim starting after ref. 4 "Plant samples gathered ... " is, in fact supported by ref. 5, but the sentence immediately following, ending at ref. 6 seems to invalidate the claim. It would appear to me that the best course of action is to remove the text after ref. 4 through ref. 6 entirely. Perhaps someone can find a better supported and still valid example. (And perhaps find a good source for Ötzi, as well.)

External links modified
Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on History of herbalism. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
- Attempted to fix sourcing for http://www.macalester.edu/~cuffel/ebers.htm
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}

Recent referencing changes
@Iloparco:, the recent changes you've made are incorrectly referenced -- you've just added hard-coded footnote numbers that aren't used in the article prose, and not created any actual reference footnote. There have also been significant changes to the referenced material in the article. Are you able to make repairs so that the article is properly referenced? -- Mikeblas (talk) 23:49, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
- Good evening , i have tried to change my references so that are formatted correctly but i am unsure how to format them correctly. It will not let me add them so they are in line with the other sources. Iloparco (talk) 23:42, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
