source for the quote?

"By this time, Kylie is started to become en vogue in all the clubs and suddenly, it became trendy to play her at the Haçienda. And we don't ever think when we were doing 'I Should Be So Lucky' that Kylie would have ever been played at the Haçienda."

The grammar in this "quote" is so bad, either a non-native English speaker incorrectly quoted Waterman or someone else, or the quote is completely made up.
