Points to address
[edit]These are points I see that need attention: CITING some comments made, some examples would be-
- Surmising that the single didn't sell well because it was on vinyl instead of CD should be referenced. Also, if it is vinyl that kept it from selling, the other option is itunes or other internet sales. Maybe address that. Perhaps-- later, when you mention how the sales fared on the internet chart- and again which internet chart, be specific-- it wasn't as shabby as the vinyl sales. Maybe you can use that to make your point?
- iTunes dont release sales data, so even if the single sold well there, we have no way to verify it. We only have the official UK chart, and the only ref i found says 133. And I'm not sure if digital sales (apart from iTunes) are counted on the UK charts. So i'm going going to remove all the speculation part. And i had initially added the "not selling because of vinyl" based on our discussion on the forums, i now know it has no place HERE. Done
- Under the section Promotion & Release, be specific. What Channel 4 news? Although you did put the station, it would be helpful to throw a few extra words there prompting the reader to understand where and what it is.
- I think it's clear enough, it says: "Channel 4's SHOW T4". Both channel 4 and T4 are wiki-linked, so if anyone wants to know what they are, they can click them. I added another sentence which might clear any doubts. What do you think?
- What do you mean by the band's fourth Dutch single? Extemporize, or reword. If I understand right, I'd say, It is the fourth single to be released in the Netherlands, if that's what you are saying.
- Done The single was not released in the Uk earlier, i believe its now addressed.
- This sentence means nothing to me: To promote it, the band played an intimate concert at Desmet Studios as a prt of BNN's "That's Live". What is BNN? And there's a typo (prt). Desmet Studios aren't listed in the Wikipedia, so please give the reader more information as to why this is important. Be careful in adding info that isn't really relevant in imparting information to the reader. Or give a reason why these studios are so important- if they are like the old Rockpalast studio where performances can be videoed live, and recorded for release before a live audience, that would be notable.
- It isnt like Rockoplast, but BNN is wikilinked, its a dutch broadcaster. It isnt as notable as rockoplast, but its quite notable in Netherlands. 3FM (wikilinked) is a radio station, which will broadcast this concert on air, i have added this info with ref now. I think this is ok. I have some more info about a competition to win tickets for the concert, which i added, maybe this will help clarify(?)
- Critical reaction. You can't say that it was positive, and cite Rolling Stone, etc. and turn around in the next paragraph and say the opposite, --plus some of the reaction to the song was covered already wasn't it? Be careful of redundancies here-- I didn't copyedit this far, to be honest. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 07:29, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- Its not redundant, the first para discusses the release of the song WHEN the album was released. That reaction was positive. HOWEVER, critics werent so happy when the song was released as a SINGLE, because it was deemed not worthy/weak, or whatever. There is a difference, but it can be confusing. What do you suggest I do?
