Has he done anything notable in mathematics?
[edit]The subject is clearly a notable Othello player.
But is he a notable mathematician? His only achievements in mathematics that are referred to in the article are the silver medal he won in childhood at the International Mathematical Olympiad, his PhD thesis, and his short-lived and undistinguished trainership of the British team for the same olympiad.
