Further removal
[edit]I've just removed, "A majority are engaged in small businesses. About 12,000 are in the French government service, while another 6,000 are in the police and armed forces." from the history section as plain WP:UNDUE. While I'm okay with the move from "Indian diaspora in France" to "Indians in France", it should have been discussed as there is no straight forward 'in line with' for the ethnic group X in European country Y as an article title.
I don't recall this being discussed in a centralised place by the community (particularly those who are heavily involved WikiProject Ethnic groups), but I've been out of the loop for a while. I've always been of the opinion that, following policy & guidelines for the Anglophone world Wikipedia, there are more far more intuitive titles - though they may be problematic for other reasons - which would serve better than 'Chinese in France', 'Mexicans in Sweden', et al. Thoughts, arguments, refreshers from other editors? Is it worth taking this to the project talk page in order to thrash out a clearer rule-of-thumb? Iryna Harpy (talk) 07:30, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
