The section about the 'Waterfront' should have its own article as there is alot more information as it is a major part of the town and the tourist hub of Ipswich.Wrightie99 (talk) 20:04, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Ipswich Dock. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

I don't think this page works[edit]

I do not think we should have everything rammed together as "Ipswich Waterfront" which is principally a reconceptualisation of how an previously industrial area of Ipswich was to be developed following the setting up of the Ipswich Waterfront steering group in the 1990's. See Ipswich Waterfront Supplementary Planning Guidance (1999). Check the map at the end and you will see that it does not include Cliff Quay, for example. This is reiterated twenty years later in the Town Centre and Waterfront – Public Realm Strategy Supplementary Planning Document. These documents do not really discuss the Port of Ipswich, which deserves a page to itself, and probably an additional page as regards its history - it is still currently a significant port and its 800 year history is extensive. I am planning to make some changes but thought it wise to flag up these concerns here first.Leutha (talk) 13:03, 22 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
