The Isnag woman shown in the photo does not represent authentic image of true Isnag, the skirt or tapis known as "aken" she wore was the skirt of kalinga women — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.54.32.155 (talk) 08:12, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
The terms "Isnag" and "Isneg"
[edit]I began an effort to cleanup of this page on January 15, 2015, until which the page contained the following subheading:
Correction Isnag refers to the people and the Tribe. Isneg refers to the dialect of the Isnag.
The text in the subheading was unsourced, but nobody seems to have contradicted it, and it seems to follow the grammar logic common to Austronesian languages. And it makes, it seems to me, an important grammatical assertion. So for the purposes of the current cleanup/rewrite, I shall try to follow its lead. I am, however, not a native speaker of the Isneg language, so it's entirely possible I'm being mislead. So any comments are welcome here, and I hope anyone with more authoritative knowledge of the culture and the language will correct it themselves. If you DO want to change something in the text but don't have the time to learn to edit wikipedia pages, do leave a comment here and I'll try to make the edit for you as soon as I become aware of your comment. Like I said, I am not an expert and am simply trying to rewrite the page to make it more readable and to add some citations. If I made/make any errors in the process, please know that I intended no disrespect, please accept my apologies, and let's try to make the corrections necessary. Thank you. - Alternativity (talk) 19:46, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
