An Absurdity

[edit]

It's an absurdity that the Wikipedia links "It's So Easy" directy to this song, when the song "It's So Easy" that was produced by Buddy Holly and the Crickets, and later covered by Linda Ronstadt is FAR more important in the history if Rock 'n' Roll, and in popular music, and is a far better song, and has been played on the radio more times by a Very Wide margin, and more recordings of it have been sold, too - combining all forms of media - vinyl singles, vinyl LP's, magnetic tapes, compact discs, et cetra. The decision is one by a walk-over. 98.67.169.15 (talk) 22:37, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

SCREW YOU HIPPIE!!! YOU ARE NOT A PERSON CAPABLE OF DESCIDING IF A SONG IS MORE IMPORTAINGT THAN ANOTHER!

Agreed this is absurd. The "It's So Easy" from Buddy Holly is a great song and of major historical interest. The cover by Linda Ronstadt is a great song as well. No rationale whatsoever for this entry to Guns and Roses except as a disambiguation stub. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.31.85.197 (talk) 01:17, 1 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Did the Buddy Holly song really sell more than 28 million copies world-wide, something which the guns n' roses song achieved just through album sales of 'Appetite for Destruction' — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.57.84.34 (talk) 03:05, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Agree that this should link to the Buddy Holly song or, if not, the disambiguation page. I think The Buddy Holly song is much better-known. Being on a big-selling album doesn't in itself make a song well-known, and as a single the GNR song made little impact. It's not even mentioned in the current Wikipedia article on GNR.Happypoems (talk) 23:17, 4 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The First Single

[edit]

It is worth noting that "It's so easy" was Guns 'n' Roses's first single. The film clip can be found on YouTube and features Erin Everley, Axl's then girlfriend, in S&M gear 150.101.96.65 11:38, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Gunsnroses-itssoeasy1.jpg

Image:Gunsnroses-itssoeasy1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Duff singing all vocals in the background on songs he (co-)wrote

[edit]

Duff McKagan can be clearly heard singing almost the entire song in duet-like style with Axl, especially when performed live. A similar observation can be made for 'get in the ring'. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.111.43.101 (talk) 17:41, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
