[edit]This topic is solely based on Iu Mien elders verbal, chanting songs, telling story, and shaman's spiritual book. When this article was created, it is a true story from living individual who've known what has happened in Iu Mien Community, and the Iu Mien has been through the ordeal. It is important for some one like me to keep document now or it will be erased without any evidence or legacy left for the next generation of Iu Mien to know what their root has been through. The ordinary true story couldn't be documented during Iu Mien's movement. For many centuries, Iu Mien society has been force to live in the highland from mountain to mountain. All historic documents were destroyed during the war and the temptation of Chinese emperors to wipe out Iu Mien civilization have destroy most of Iu Mien ancient history. Therefore, the modern scholars and educators of the west can't find any reliable source of information to support this article. Even Chinese institution of high education couldn't find due to Chinese revolution in 1949 when the communist came into power in the Chinese government which destroyed ancient antique included history book. As result, most of ancient historic documents were erased. As many of the western scholars know that many professors of ecology, cultural anthropology, gerontology, and ethic studies have dig the grave of ancient Egyptian's King to study to get reliable sources of evidence to accommodate modern scholars consider as reliable source. Like Christianity scholars also dig the Holy land in Jerusalem to find proven evidence of how Jesus was born and live in Holy Land of Isareal today. Any scholars or professors have any reliable sources of document to improve this article is greatly appreciated. --Saengfin (talk) 05:28, 4 January 2015 (UTC)

Exceedingly minor [sic] quibble
[edit]@DragonflySixtyseven, my understanding (which seems to be born out by a refresher) is that [sic] is only used for elements of a text that may be perceived as errors in transmission or transcription on our part. Remsense诉 02:23, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
- In what way would you suggest indicating that the direct quotation contains a misused word? DS (talk) 03:35, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
- We don't, I assume? We use logical language ourselves in wikivoice, but it's not as if the meaning of the quoted passage is potentially unclear to the reader. Surely you wouldn't think to tag "I could care less" with [sic] in a quotation? Remsense诉 03:50, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
