McManus and Long
[edit]@Kitty ky: Please stop removing the "failed citation" template from the sentence "During World War II he served in Naval Intelligence under Commander R. B. M. Long." There is no mention of McManus in in the citation you have cited in support of that statement, so it's value as a source is questionable. A source that shows that Long was in charge of or involved in Naval Intelligence during the war would be fine for an article about Long, but it has little value in article about McManus. Per WP:RSCONTEXT, a source that explicity states that McManus served under Long during the war is needed. The "failed verification" template lets other editors know that the source's value is questionable and thereforepoints out that a better source needs to be found. Unless you find a better source or reword the article content to more accurately reflect the source, please don't remove the template again. -- Marchjuly (talk) 03:51, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
