Notability[edit]

I do not think that this page should be deleted because this artist does have published works not only as a music, but also as a photographer. There are many references and citations placed within the article proving it's validity. I was also able to find the artist's ASCAP catalog to prove that she does have copyrighted songs giving her recognition for her works which are recognized by ASCAP, a legitimate copyright organization for musicians and composers. That she has "published works" does not make her notable. There are several citations in the article proving that she exists (which does not establish notability) and that several non-reliable sources have covered her. Having songs copyrighted shows only that she submitted songs to ASCAP and paid her fee, nothing else.

Notability is best shown by citing substantial coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. If someone cures cancer and resolves all conflict in the middle east but aren't the subject of substantial coverage in reliable sources, they aren't notable. Someone best known for sitting around watching TV would be notable if they are the subject of substantial coverage in reliable sources. Telling us the person has done X, Y and Z is moot. We need substantial coverage in reliable, independent sources.

Factually Inaccurate[edit]

Not sure where to put this as I'm new to editing so maybe this is the right place. I didn't want to change much except a few typos but this is such a factually one sided article that does not represent either standards for an artists CV for art historical purposes, or many important facts about Gordon's litigiousness.

There are show listed she was never in, galleries that showed her in a fair boot once that she lists as shows, and most notably leaves out the lawsuit agasint Ryan McGinley for which the judge took her and her advisors to task.

I'll repost here...

This article is riddled with inaccuracies, lack of citations and omissions that are glaringly obvious. There is no follow up to the lawsuit against 50 Cent. She lost. There is also no mention of her suit against the photographer Ryan McGinley, which was dismissed in short order by the judge. Ms.Gordon's litigiousness is not reflected in the wiki by the inclusion of the results of her lawsuits. She also sued Levi Straus, Team Gallery, Chris Perez: Ratio 3 gallery, and Peter Halpert
