Picture
[edit]The picture displayed of Jerry Gershwin is not authentic. As his nephew I am quite aware of his appearance. The picture posted is not the same man as I remember him. His head was well rounded with a rather large bulbous nose, a slightly receded chin, white straight hair and a somewhat crooked smile, a smile that seems to be a genetic trait transferred from my grandfather, Max Grishman, to all male members of the Grishman family. Jerome Grishman was Jerry’s birth name. Jerry changed his surname to Gershwin, I assume for easier name recognition, but we have no relation, as far as I am aware, to George & Ira Gershwin. 2600:1700:FFB:C0:D23:CC62:BA57:189F (talk) 16:36, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
