The Swedish town Fagersta is the appointed friendship town[edit]
Fagersta is a small town of 12.000 inhabitants in the north of the Vastmanland county of Sweden in Europe. The Vastmanland county has special relations to the Shandong province in China and thats the reason why Fagersta got its friend. The differences between the towns are though great because of the number of population. Jining has the same number of inhabitants as the whole of Sweden. In the year of 2000 a delegation from Jining visited Fagersta lead by its vice mayor. Each year at Christmas Fagersta sends a picture postcard to the authorities in Jining to keep up the relation. At a tourist fair in oktober 2005 Fagersta was presented in Jining with pictures and invitation to tourists. Fagersta can be visited on the web by address: http://www.fagersta.se
Mayor of Jining[edit]
I am sure the name of the mayor is outdated.
