ICC-Election

[edit]

She was the first to be elected, this is true, but it is a fact not only about her but also about the other candidates. She was elected in the first round, this is true and a fact about judge Korner only. Imho we should mention the second fact, not the first. One more remark: An earlier paragraph says "A follow-up report was publish in 2020". Is this correct grammar / orthogr.? Should it read "published"? --Himbeerbläuling (talk) 19:16, 21 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Now i have edited the main issue mentioned here. The grammar question remains open. --Himbeerbläuling (talk) 12:18, 13 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What is the meaning of "supported"?

[edit]

Dear fellow Wikipedians, as i try to translate this article to german (the yet incomplete translation is in the de-Wikipedia article namespace), i have a question concerning the meaning of one word in the text:

In the section "Legal work in Bosnia and Herzegowina", there is the sentence "Korner has written numerous reports, supported by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, on the state of war crimes processing in Bosnia and Herzegovina."

I am not sure about the meaning of the word "supported". Sometimes this word means "helped", "funded" or so, for instance in the "Acknowledgements section" of scientific publications. Sometimes "supported" means "confirmed", for instance a parliament may confirm a proposal.

It is quite the same in german language, "unterstützen" ca mean "helfen, fördern" or "zustimmen, bestätigen". But, different from the English case, the german word "unterstützen" is no good style. --Himbeerbläuling (talk) 18:30, 19 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Headline was german, an edit accident. --Himbeerbläuling (talk) 17:29, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
