Can't be[edit]

Hello, I wonder how he should have been able to "chronicle the life of Strasbourg during the Thirty Years' War" (1618-1638), whilst he wasn't there at all. In the article I read that he left Strasbourg in 1618 (when the war began) and returned not before 1635. That is somehow confusing.
