Although the first footnote sourced to a Syracuse news story correctly refers to their claim that the novel THE MAN WHO CRIED I AM was a bestseller that information is not correct. (and the Syracuse newspaper did not reference anything).
I do not know how to get it removed from wikipedia, although I am also sending my source to that paper for their correction. Britannica book of the year. 1967. [Events of 1966] - Page 481
Here is where it is stated that there were two 'better' books published and one of them was THE MAN WHO CRIED I AM, which never became bestsellers.
