John Adams in the Media

I will be looking for sources and information about the writing in this section of the article. If I find none, I will be removing the section as unsourced, WP:POV material. If you know of any such sources, please mention them here or cite them in the article. Thanks! --MOE.RON talk | done | doing 18:20, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am working on sources. The South Bend Tribune (the local newspaper) published articles about the fights happening at Adams in 2002, unfortunately, at their website articles over a week old are archived and cost money to view. One article I found about these events is the "Voice of the People" from the Opinion page of 12/21/2006 but I was not able to read the full text of it. I and others who are writing this article, however, were attending Adams at the time and saw the fights when they happened thus we can write with first had knowledge of those events. --Ledhead1788 2:18, 26 May 2006
That is good to hear that you are searching for the sources. The problem comes when you wish to put in first hand accounts; make sure you read and understand WP:POV, WP:Source#When to cite sources, Wikipedia:Verifiability, and WP:NOR. Basically, you are not able to provide first hand accounts in Wikipedia articles. If you have any questions, I can answer them or direct you to the proper channel if I am unsure. --MOE.RON talk | done | doing 02:27, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notable Alumni

[edit]

I am removing the notable alumni until further information can be provided as to why they are notable. --MOE.RON talk | done | doing 19:20, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am removing Alfonso Soriano from the Notable Alumni as he was definitely not a graduate: he grew up in the dominican republic and as an Adams student I would have heard if he went to my school.

Bias in History section

[edit]

"Large outcries by the community and movements by students kept the school going, and will keep it going for many years."

I don't think speculation about the future is appropriate for this section, as it cannot be verified. Can we delete the portion about 'keep it going for many years'?
