[edit]

Moved from article to talk page on April 7th, 2015 : "Gofman described himself a libertarian and spoke at several events sponsored by the Students for a Libertarian Society in 1979 and 1980." I cannot find any sourced reference about that. After some Google-searching, it appears that Gofman gave an interview to the Libertarian Review (which is not cited as a source, anyway), but I cannot find the interview itself on the web, so cannot check if Gofman said anything about himself feeling a libertarian and in what terms (so how important this might really be to the article). (Gofman's) antinuclear views were at the center of a polemic within the Libertarian movement several sources deal with, but this says nothing about Gofman's own political allegiances. Since the information is not verified, I think it is better stored in the talk page until somebody can tell/source more about this isolated aspect of Gofman's profile. }The following notice may be removed August 26, 2007, as, alas, Dr. Gofman is no longer living. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.44.175.85 (talk) 08:23, August 26, 2007 (UTC)

Chemical elements category

[edit]

It seems from the Discoveries of the chemical elements article that the category only applies to discoverers of the original elements, not isotopes; the number of people in the category (~70 or so rather than 200+) would also support that assertion. I'd be in favor of removing the category, or at least asking someone who maintains the other article. SnowFire 00:42, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
