[edit]It seems he may also have been an iron merchant, viz "No. 16628". The London Gazette. 28 July 1812., and traded with Norway, "No. 17713". The London Gazette. 5 June 1821., "No. 18554". The London Gazette. 27 February 1829., "No. 19957". The London Gazette. 2 March 1841.. The other Gazettes listed here may also contain further info. - This is all useful and I'll add it to the article. --Rosiestep (talk) 17:16, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
- I won't add this entry about Governor and Company of Copper Miners in England as I'm uncertain whom it references. It may refer to J.H. Pelly 1st Bt. vs. his eldest son, J.H. Pelly 2nd Bt. I'm suspicious because of this, dated 1856 (after Pelly 1st Bt.'s death). But maybe with more research, it can be confirmed to the father or the son. --Rosiestep (talk) 18:20, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
