Year of birth

Baseball sources indicate a birth year of 1941. The obituary indicates a year earlier, 1940, with an age at death of 83. The article has been revised to agree with the baseball sources as obituaries have been known to not always be accurate. Bob305 (talk) 05:36, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Lhpeebles: I'm looking at your previous edit as a good faith edit. In the future, comment below the previous person's comment and indent using a colon (:) at the beginning of your comment. Other editors will come along and see what you've added. Future editors will not realize that the 1940 confirmation is attributed to you if you insert it in the middle of my comments. I'm manually adjusting your edit to reflect that the comment (and good research) is coming from you; you deserve the credit.

Thank you for fixing my comment. It's pretty rare that the SABR bio will disagree with what's already there, but if there's substantive evidence I do try to add any new discoveries. Usually I just add the link when the SABR bio is published. Lhpeebles (talk) 01:54, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
