[edit]The article gave Villiers as MP for Old Sarum. Per the History of Parliament, he was tied with Charles Mompesson (an impressive achievement in such a rotten borough!) and the matter was referred to the Commons, which after seven months declared Mompesson elected. It doesn't appear that Villiers ever took the seat. Given this, I've removed the references to him being an MP. Andrew Gray (talk) 22:39, 18 February 2017 (UTC)
