Where, exactly, is it written that Inge Crouchback was too invalid to have children? Certainly not in Heimskringla, nor in Sverris saga. Inge had a bad back - this should not impair his reproductive capabilities in any way. Sverris saga does claim that he was not Inge's son, but it can hardly be called impartial. Sverris saga also mention one Harald Ingesson at Fimreite, but IIRC there's a note in my edition (Khot's translation) where the translator claims that Inge had no known issue. I don't have saga aviable now though. OTOH Claus Krag seems to think that Jon's claim is reasonably plausible Fornadan (t) 18:19, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
