Requested move

The result of the move request was: Move per proposal. Only one participant opposes the consensus to rename this one. Article was moved while the discussion was ongoing. Orlady (talk) 05:11, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
Jonathan Kestenbaum → Jonathan Kestenbaum, Baron Kestenbaum.
- Oppose - Known for his career in the Sciences and not as a peer. Also no disambiguation is required for this article title.--Lucy-marie (talk) 16:57, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- Support. The fellow was not notable enough for an article until he was ennobled. WP:NCPEER is quite clear. This chap is not wholly or exclusively known by his pre-peerage nomenclature. Bad faith RM. Kittybrewster ☎ 15:15, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- Speedy close. Article was created a few days ago as Jonathan Kestenbaum, Baron Kestenbaum, and was stable at that title until moved by the nominator. I have restored the title at which it was created. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 20:40, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- Comment - Just because a move request is in itself contenious dosen't make the orginail undiscussed move correct. All moves need discussing and this discussion needs to be had to alllowed to establish if it is the concensus title.Lucy-marie (talk) 23:03, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

- Lucy-marie, please check the page history and/or read what I wrote: the only undiscussed move of this article was done by you. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs)
- Support per KB. He wasn't notable enough until he joined the Lords. The move and the assertion that he was so well known for his "sciences" career is a bit mystifying. -Rrius (talk) 23:52, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- Support. Former public servants who have been ennobled are almost invariably known by their titles thereafter. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:37, 4 February 2011 (UTC)
- Comment - This is not a Crystal Ball and what they are currently known is what we have to take as the current commonly used name. If in the future the individual is known regularly by their ennobled title then that would be grounds to change the article title. To though say, it is expected that the names they are known by will change is not how things work on Wikipeida.--Lucy-marie (talk) 17:33, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

Lord Kestenbaum
[edit]Shouldn't we have a discussion of Kestenbaum's deplorable actions against defenceless citizens during his IDF service in August 1988. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.21.153.124 (talk) 13:38, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
