Joseph B. Sargent → Joseph Bradford Sargent – Joseph Bradford Sargent was always known by that name, both to his family, and in founding Sargent & Co. The title of the article currently is Joseph B. Sargent. I would like to have his full name as the title - that was the name by which he was usually known. I can't do this - I need approval, because I haven't edited 10 articles. Hello Linda. The article only has one citation (NY Times), and he's listed as Joseph B. Sargent in it. Can you supply some other links to bear out what you're proposing? Best, Markvs88 (talk) 22:35, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Would like to support, but... Hi Linda, I think many if not all Wikipedia editors would be sympathetic to his great-granddaughter's request, just a little awkward that the Congressional record on his 1900 appointment as mayor and various obituaries from 1907 record him as "Joseph B. Sargent" .... would like to support, could do with a clear non-family-published source, good luck. In ictu oculi (talk) 10:35, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not enough evidence Along those same lines, it seems as though he was known as both depending on the source. I'm not for or against the change per se, but at this point there is no source provided of the same level as to be able to contradict the New York Times.
