Fourteenth Amendment?

[edit]

Are you sure that it shouldn't be the First? Can someone look into this? ColinKennedy 22:01, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. JayW 00:22, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The First Amendment directly applies only to the federal government, but the Fourteenth Amendment is deemed to apply its requirements to the states.

Who the hell is Wilson?

[edit]

Seriously- it's not mentioned in the article at all. -216.221.33.60 (talk) 13:00, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Full name of the case is Joseph Burstyn, Incorporated v. Wilson, Commissioner of Education of New York, et al.--Cdogsimmons (talk) 18:21, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Burstyn article

[edit]

Given the significance of this case to debates about censorship in the United States, Burstyn needs an article of his own. I'll see what I can do about this...

Paris Theater, not city.

[edit]

"Paris" should refer to the Paris Theater in New York City which screened the film, not to the city in France.
