Joe's job
[edit]Joe Walshe was not a minister -- he was a civil servant. For a list of ministers, see Ministers for External Affairs (1922-1971) -- BrownHairedGirl 23:04, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
- A minister can also refer to a senior ranking diplomat. Kransky 15:41, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
Serious inaccuracy
[edit]Joseph Walshe did not 'retire' to Rome in 1946. He was appointed Ireland's Ambassador to the Holy See in that year - the first Irish diplomat to be appointed at ambassadorial rank. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.45.31.92 (talk) 14:56, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
