Composition?
[edit]The article currently speaks of "settings of the four passions, Liber in quo quatuor passiones Christi Domini 1604". However, the piece shown in the new image of this book, File:Quatuor Passiones Christi.jpg, doesn't really count as a musical "setting". As far as I can see these pages show some very simple, traditional plainchant, i.e. merely a spelled-out version of the gospel as sung in its conventional reciting tone. A "setting", i.e. an original composition, in the early 17th century context, would at least imply some polyphony. Fut.Perf. ☼ 12:38, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
